#7 St. Cloud State edged by #1 Minnesota in OT, 4-3

The #7 St. Cloud State University men's hockey team suffered a 4-3 overtime loss at #1 Minnesota on Saturday, Nov. 1. The defeat moves SCSU's record to 3-3-0, 0-0-0 NCHC, while Minnesota improves to 5-1-0, 0-0-0 B10.
The Gophers capped the game with the OT game winner by Justin Kloos at 1:19. He also opened the scoring with a goal at :12 of the second period on the power play and ended with a hat trick as he scored at the end of the second period to tie the game at 2-2.
After UM opened the game with 1-0 lead, the Huskies roared back with a goal by Andrew Prochno at 6:27 of the second period. Judd Peterson provided the lone assist on the play for the Huskies, which was Prochno's second goal of the season.
SCSU gained a 2-1 lead with a power play goal by Ethan Prow at 12:13 of the second period. This was Prow's first goal of the year and it was assisted by Jimmy Murray and Kalle Kossila.
After Kloos' goal at the end of the second, Minnesota gained a 3-2 lead with a goal by Connor Reilly at 2:09 of the third period. SCSU charged back to tie the game at 14:34 with a goal by Joey Benik, which included an assist from David Morley. The goal was Benik's third of the 2014-15 season.
Both team's skated to a 3-3 deadlock at the end of regulation before Kloos won the game in OT.
On the night, UM outshot the Huskies 35-14. This marked the first time this season that SCSU has been outshot in a game. On the power play, SCSU was 1-of-3 and UM was 1-of-4. Charlie Lindgren made 31 saves for the Huskies, while Adam Wilcox gained the win with just 11 saves to his credit.
