#11 Wayne State Sweeps SCSU, 3-0

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State volleyball team took on Wayne State this afternoon in Halenbeck Hall. Wayne State College is currently ranked 11th on the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 Poll. The Huskies fell to the Wildcats in three straight sets with scores of 16-25, 20-25 and 15-25.
With the loss, the Huskies drop to 7-19 overall and 1-17 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Wayne State improves to 22-5 overall and 14-4 in conference play.
Macy Weller (Sauk Centre, Minn.) led the Huskies with ten kills.
Erin Ohlemann (Golden Valley, Minn.) recorded 31 assists and 13 digs.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) tallied a team-high 24 digs.
Wayne State's Katie Hughes led all players with 13 kills.
The Huskies recorded 36 kills as a team and 22 attack errors compared to the Wildcats 12.
The Huskies return to action next weekend as they take on Southwest Minnesota State University on Friday, Nov. 7 and the University of Sioux Falls on Saturday, Nov. 8.
