Marshall, Minn. – The St. Cloud State volleyball team fell to Southwest Minnesota State this evening in three straight sets. The Mustangs are currently ranked sixth in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 Poll. The final scores were 11-25, 13-25 and 9-25.

SCSU falls to 7-20 overall and 1-18 in the NSIC. Southwest Minnesota State improves to 20-7 and 15-4 in conference play.

The Huskies were unable to put anything together offensively averaging a -.012 attack percentage compared to the Mustangs .494.

Kaitlin Doughty (Tomahawk, Wis.), Erin Ohlemann (Golden Valley, Minn.) and Taylor Rollo (Mayer, Minn.) recorded three kills on the night. Ohlemann tallied ten assists and four digs.

Kenzie Beekman recorded a team-high 15 kills and 3 service aces for the Mustangs.

The Huskies will travel to Sioux Falls, S.D. to take on the University of Sioux Falls tomorrow at 4 p.m. Sioux Falls is currently 16-13 overall and 10-9 in the NSIC.
