Second round women's golf cancelled, Huskies place 11th in spring opener

St. Joseph, Mo. -- The second round of the Missouri Western/Holiday Inn Women's Golf Invitational scheduled for today has been cancelled due to snow in St. Joseph. The first round standings are the finals for the 16-team invitational.

Complete team results

St. Cloud State posted a team score of 359 on Sunday and finished in 11th place. Katie Kruchten was the top finisher for the Huskies as she shot an 88 on the par 72 course and tied for 37th place.

Brooke Taylor and Shelby Sauer each shot an 89 and tied for 40th place. Laurel Enstrom tied for 46th after carding a 90.

Ashlee Lindeen shot a 92 for a 51st place tied and Lucy Gaetz tied for 60th with a 95. Taylor Chase posted a 105.

The Huskies are scheduled next to compete in the Tiburon Invitational hosted by Concordia University, St. Paul on Sunday and Monday, March 30-31 at Tiburon Golf Club in Omaha, Neb., weather permitting, of course.
