
Women's golf headed to NSIC Championship this weekend

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State women's golf team will head to Morton Minn., and the Dakotah Ridge Golf Club for the final two rounds of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) 2013-14 Championship to be played Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27.
The first two rounds were played last fall at The Classic at Maddens in Brainerd. The Huskies are in sixth place heading into the final two rounds with a team score of 707. Augustana College and Concordia-St. Paul are tied for first with scores of 656.
St. Cloud State junior Katie Kruchten and sophomore Brooke Taylor are tied for ninth place on the individual leaderboard. Kruchten shot an 85-82 in the first two rounds for a 167. Taylor went 83-84 for 167.
The remaining line-up for the Huskies will be first-year player Laurel Enstrom, sophomore Ashlee Lindeen and senior Shelby Sauer.
Last season the Huskies placed eighth in the conference championship. Kruchten tied for ninth place to earn All-Conference Second Team honors. She fired rounds of 87-83-83-85 for a tournament total 338.
St. Cloud State is ranked #12 in the NCAA Division II Central Region polled released on April 24.
