SCSU Volleyball Shuts Down U-Mary, 3-0

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State University volleyball team kept their momentum rolling from last night's win over Minot State and defeated the University of Mary. The Huskies were victorious in three straight sets with scores of 25-13, 25-21, and 25-19.
With the win St. Cloud State improves to 7-8 overall and 3-4 in the NSIC. U-Mary falls to 8-8 overall and 3-4 in the conference.
Macy Weller (Sauk Centre, Minn.) and Rachel Burke (Madison, Wis.) finished with 10 kills each. Weller recorded a team-high .474 attack percentage. Burke finished with 11 digs and one block.
Allison Butler (Burnsville, Minn.) recorded 36 assists for the Huskies.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) had a team-high 21 digs. Shannon Klink (Hartford, Wis.) added 14.
Thayna Silva and Lauren Randall each recorded 10 kills for the Marauders.
The Huskies recorded 41 kills, averaging a .264 attack percentage compared to the University of Mary's 33 kills and a .116 attack percentage.
St. Cloud State will return to action next weekend as they travel to Sioux Falls, S.D. and Marshall Minn. The Huskies will take on the University of Sioux Falls on Friday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. and Southwest Minnesota State University the following day at 3 p.m. Sioux Falls is currently 8-8 overall and 0-7 in the conference. Southwest Minn. State is currently 12-3 overall and 5-2 in the NSIC.
