
SCSU Volleyball to Host #3 Northern State and MSU Moorhead

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State University volleyball team will host No. 3 Northern State and Minn. State University – Moorhead in their final weekend of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action. The Huskies will take on the Wolves at 7 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall on Friday, Nov. 13. They will host the Dragons of MSUM on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. Senior Night is set for Friday evening as Kellan Flynn, Allison Butler, Sophie Jaskulske, Brianne Stamer, and Rachel Burke will be honored for their contributions to the St. Cloud State volleyball program.

Senior Night: Five St. Cloud State players will be honored for their contributions to the St. Cloud State volleyball program on Friday, Nov. 13.
Kellan Flynn: The senior middle hitter has played in 110 matches, appearing in 389 sets from 2012-15. Flynn has a total of 779 kills and 296 blocks. The middle recorded a career-high 18 kills against Minot State (11/7/15). She ranks 11th in block solos and 9th in block assists for Individual Career record at St. Cloud State.
Allison Butler: Butler has appeared in 110 matches and 393 sets from 2012-15. She has totaled 321 kills, 979 assists, and 789 digs. The setter recorded a career-high 54 assists against Augustana (10/17/15). Butler has totaled 99 service aces, ranking her 23rd for SCSU's Individual Career Records.
Sophie Jaskulske: A transfer from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Jaskulske has played in 50 matches and 169 sets from 2014-15. She has totaled 350 kills, 47 digs, and 84 blocks. Jaskulske recorded a career-high 19 kills against Truman State (9/5/15).
Brianne Stamer: Stamer has found her way into the Huskies Volleyball Record Book several times. The defensive specialist now ranks 1st in digs with 1,895 digs from 2012-15. Stamer has also set a SCSU Individual Match Record with 33 digs against Upper Iowa (10/30/15). Her 395 sets played are the 14th most in school history.
Rachel Burke: The senior outside hitter appeared in 75 matches and 231 sets for the Huskies. In three seasons, Burke has totaled 492 kills, 365 digs, and 67 blocks. Burke recorded a career-high 18 kills against Upper Iowa (9/12/15) and Bemidji State (9/15/15).
St. Cloud State:
- The Huskies enter the weekend match-up with a 9-17 record overall and a 5-13 mark in the NSIC.
- The Huskies are coming off a weekend split, after a loss against the University of Mary (2-3) and a victory over Minot State.
- St. Cloud State took on Northern State and Minn. Moorhead earlier this season and fell to both teams in three straight sets.
- Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) ranks first in the conference in digs with 523, averaging 5.51 digs per set.
- Allison Butler (Burnsville, Minn.) is 11th in the NSIC in assists. Butler has totaled 658 assists on the season, averaging 6.93 assists per set.
- Friday, Nov. 13 marks senior night as five St. Cloud State Huskies will be honored.
Northern State:
- The #3 ranked Wolves enter the weekend 24-2 overall and 16-2 in the conference.
- Northern State is coming off a weekend sweep over Bemidji State and Minn. Crookston.
- Kelsey Chambers ranks fourth in the NSIC in kills with 371, averaging 4.12 kills per set.
- As a team, Northern State leads the NSIC in hitting percentage (.328), assists (14.18/set), and kills (14.81/set)
MSU Moorhead:
- The Dragons enter the weekend 15-11 overall and 8-10 in the NSIC.
- Casie Baer ranks fifth in the NSIC in service aces with 31, averaging .31 per set.
- Kelsey Hartkopf is second in the conference in blocks with 122, averaging 1.22 blocks per set.
- MSU Moorhead ranks first in the NSIC in blocks with 258.5.
