SCSU Volleyball Defeats Minot State, 3-2

Minot, N.D. – The St. Cloud State University volleyball team traveled to Minot, N.D. to take on the Beavers of Minot State. The Huskies battled through five sets with final scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-20, 23-25, and 15-11.
St. Cloud State improves to 9-17 overall and 5-13 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Minot State falls to 3-22 overall and 0-18 in the conference.
Kellan Flynn (Tomahawk, Wis.) recorded a season-high 18 kills.
Shannon Klink (Hartford, Wis.) had a double-double with a season-high 14 kills and tallied 14 digs.
Allison Butler (Burnsville, Minn.) finished with 29 assists and five kills. Marissa Kline (Luxemburg, Wis.) tallied 26 assists and four digs.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) led the Huskies defensively with 30 digs, ranking her first in the SCSU Career Records for digs with a career total of 1,893 digs. Stamer surpassed Andrea Pieper who totaled 1,885 digs from 2005-08.
Mallory Sall led the Beavers with 19 kills.
St. Cloud State will return to action next weekend as they host No. 4 Northern State University and Minn. State University-Moorhead. The Huskies will take on the No. 4 Wolves at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13 and the Dragons at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14.
