Women's golf places fifth at SMSU Spring Invite

Buckeye, Ariz. -- The St. Cloud State women's golf spring opener resulted in a fifth place finish as the Huskies posted a team score of 691 at the Southwest Minnesota State Spring Invited played at the Sundance Golf Club in Buckeye, Ariz., March 12-13.
St. Cloud State posted rounds of 346-345 to move up the leaderboard following a sixth place standing after the first day of competition. Minnesota State University posted a team score of 311-317-628 to win the team title.
St. Cloud State sophomore Laurel Enstrom (Rock Island, Ill.) posted rounds of 83-87 for a two-day toal 170 and tied for 20th in the individual standings. She was joined by three others, senior Katie Kruchten (St. Cloud), junior Brooke Taylor (Chandler, Ariz.) and first-year Madison Tenney (Evergreen, Colo.) in the top 30.
The Huskies spring schedule continues April 3-4 at the Upper Iowa University Spring Invite.
