Huskies complete sweep at Colorado College on Nov. 12

Colorado Springs, Colo. - The #13 St. Cloud State University men's hockey team (6-4-0, 2-2-0 NCHC) completed a two-game road sweep of Colorado College (3-7-0, 1-3-0 NCHC) with a 4-1 victory over the Tigers at the World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Saturday, Nov. 12.
The victory was SCSU's sixth of the 2016-17 season and it evened the Huskies' NCHC record at 2-2-0 this season in conference play.
In the contest, Colorado College's Bryce Van Horn started the game's scoring at 10:11 of the first period with a power play goal . SCSU completed the first period offense with a goal by Mikey Eyssimont at 19:01 of the first. He was assisted on the play by Patrick Newell and Jon Lizotte.
The Huskies continued to roll in the second period with a power play goal by Eyssimont at 1:45. Newell and Jimmy Schuldt provided assists on the play. The power play continued to shine as the Huskies' Blake Winiecki scored at 13:07 of the third period. He was assisted by Robby Jackson and Jack Ahcan. To complete the game's offense, team captain Jimmy Schuldt ended the scoring at 14:51 of the third with a solo assist from Will Borgen.
In the game, SCSU outshot the Tigers 37-25. For power plays, SCSU was 2-5 and CC was 1-3. Zach Driscoll was the goalie of record for SCSU with 24 saves, while Alex Leclerc had 33 saves for the Tigers.
