REGULAR SEASON FINALE: The #5 St. Cloud State University men's hockey team (25-8-1, 15-6-1 NCHC) will wrap up its regular season schedule on March 4-5 with a pair of games against Colorado College at the World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo. The game on March 4 is slated to start at 8:37 p.m. and the game on March 5 will start at 7:37 p.m. (CT)

TICKETS FOR UPCOMING NCHC PLAYOFF FIRST ROUND GAMES:  The Huskies have clinched home ice in the upcoming NCHC first round playoff games. The best of three series will take place on March 11-13 at the HBNHC. SCSU's first opponnent will be determined by the results of this weekend's NCHC games. Fans can purchase tickets online at www.scsutickets.com or by calling 1-877-SCSUTIX. You can also stop by the SCSU Athletic Ticket Office in the HBNHC during regular business hours and purchase your tickets in person. Â
THE RACE:  As we head into the last weekend of play in the always rugged NCHC, the Huskies and Denver are tied for second place in the league with 47 points each. UND sits atop the league with 53 points and has clinched at least a share of first place in the league standings. Miami and UMD are tied for fourth place in the league with 31 points, while Omaha is in sixth with 25 points. WMU (17) and CC (13) complete the league's standings. Of note, Denver will round out its season with a pair of home dates against Omaha.
TIGER TALES: Colorado College leads the all-time series vs. SCSU by a 49-39-7 margin. SCSU is 7-2-1 in the last 10-games of this series and has not lost a game in Colorado Springs since a 4-3 setback on Feb. 22, 2013...earlier this season, the Huskies scored a 2-1 win vs. CC on Jan. 8 and a 5-2 loss vs. CC on Jan. 9 at the HBNHC.

LAST TIME OUT: The Huskies were swept at home for the first time this season by scores of 4-1 and 2-1 against NCHC rival Minnesota Duluth on Feb. 26-27. The last time SCSU was swept at home was a pair of setbacks against Minnesota Duluth on Nov. 7-8, 2014 by scores of 3-2 OT and 3-1... This was just the second time this season that the Huskies were swept in a weekend series. The other time this season that the Huskies lost two consecutive games was a 5-2 and 4-1 sweep at #1 ranked Quinnipiac on Oct. 23-24.
25 PLUS: This marks just the fourth time in SCSU's history as a Division I program that it has won 25 or more games. The Huskies' record for most wins in a season is 31 in 2000-01 (31-9-1).
NUMBER TWO IN THE BOOKS: SCSU Hobey Baker Award candidate Ethan Prow charted his 24th assist of the season on Feb. 26. He now has 18 goals, 74 assists and 92 points in his career with the Huskies. He now ranks second in the SCSU records for most points by a defenseman. He moves ahead of Andrew Prochno, who had 91 points from 2011-15.
KOSSILA CLIMBS:  Kalle Kossila now has 46 goals, 93 assists and 139 points with the Huskies over four seasons of play. He ranks ninth in the team scoring charts and is one point behind Ryan Malone, who had 140 points from 1999-03.
DOESN"T HAPPEN MUCH: SCSU scored just one goal in both games against Minnesota Duluth. The only other times this season that SCSU has scored one goal in a game were a 4-1 loss against Quinnipiac and a 1-1 tie at UMD.
JUST KILLING TIME: SCSU continued its strong special teams run at Omaha. In the last four games played, SCSU has charted an impressive 17-of-17 rate on the penalty. The last time SCSU allowed a power play goal was at 18:31 of the third period in a 5-2 victory over Bemidji State. SCSU's penalty kill rate this season continues to climb and it currently rates at 80.9% in 2015-16.
AT THE WORLD:Â Â SCSU is 18-15-2 in games played at the World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo.
RICTHER NOMINEE: SCSU's Charlie Lindgren leads has been selected as a candidate for the 2015-16 Mike Richter Award which goes to the nation's top college goalie. Lindgren ranks second in the nation with 24 wins this season...Lindgren's next victory in the nets will tie him for the SCSU team record for most goalie wins In a season. Scott Meyer currently leads the list with 25 victories during the 2000-01 season (25-8-1)...Lindgren currently owns a 2.06 GAA and a .928 save percentage in 2015-16. The team's current season records are held by Jase Weslosky with a 2.11 GAA and a .931 save percentage in 2007-08...In three years at SCSU, Lindgren has posted a 45-28-3 record along with a 2.19 GAA and a .922 save percentage. He currently ranks fourth in the team charts for most career victories and ninth with 1,936 career saves.
TEAM NOTES AND NEWS:  Kalle Kossila's point this year marks the 42nd time a player in SCSU hockey history has scored 40-or-more points in a season. He has 12g/28a this season for the Huskies. He also had 40 points in 2013-14 (13g/27a). Kossila ranks 8th in the nation this season with 0.82 assists per game...SCSU and Michigan lead the nation this season with 142 goals this year...SCSU ranks 10th in the nation on defense with a goals allowed average of 2.12 goals per game...SCSU is #1 in the country with a scoring margin of 2.06 goals per game...SCSU ranks fourth in the nation for the least number of penalty minutes per game this season at 7.3 PIM per game...SCSU ranks 2nd in the nation on the power play at 29.4% (35/119).
ON DECK: SCSU will host the NCHC playoff first round games on March 11-13 at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud. The winner of this best of three playoff series will advance to the NCHC Frozen Faceoff at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn. on March 18-19.
