St. Cloud State women's golf ties for 14th place at Central Region Spring Preview

The St. Cloud State University women's golf team finished in a tie for 14th place at the 2016 Central Region Spring Preview on April 11-12. The tournament was held in Springfield, Mo. on the Rivercut Golf Course.

The Huskies tallied a two-day total of 688 points, which featured a team score of 348 on April 11 and a 340 on April 12. Augustana University won the team title with a two-day score of 618 (309-309), while Northeastern State placed second with a score of 619 (311-308).

In tournament competition, Brooke Taylor paced SCSU with a 36th place total of 163 (82-81) on the links at Rivercut. Teammate Laurel Enstrom tied for 52nd place with a score of 169 (89-90) and Marren Pfannestein placed 79th at 178 (89-89). SCSU's group was completed by Taylor Chase, who tied for 83rd place at 180 (88-92) and Kendall Niehaus with a 97th place finish at 196 (106-90).

SCSU will continue its 2016 spring schedule with a trip ot the Minnesota State Invite on April 16-17 in Coon Rapids, Minn.
