SCSU women's golf takes 3rd place at Minnesota State Invite

The St. Cloud State University women's golf team placed third at the 2016 Minnesota State Invitational, which was held on the links at the Bunker Hills G.C. in Coon Rapids, Minn. on April 16-17.
The Huskies tallied a two-day total of 653 to place third behind the Minnesota State, which won the tournament with a score of 626. SCSU posted a team score of 332 on April 16 and finished on April 17 with a tally of 321. Gustavus Adolphus placed second at 631, while Winona State was fourth at 663. The remainder of the field included Sioux Falls (683), Jamestown (684), Bemidji State (685), MSU Moorhead (693), Minnesota Crookston (733) and Minot State (735).
Laurel Enstrom was SCSU's top placer with a sixth place ending of of 161 (83-78), while Taylor Chase was 11th at 163 (80-83) and Marren Pfannenstein was 14th at 164 (87-77). Brooke Taylor placed 22nd at 166 (83-83) and Kendall Niehaus placed 38th with a score of 175 (86-89).
Other SCSU golfers competing at the tournament included Jessica Hawks (33rd place/172: 85-87), Madison Tenney (35th place/173: 85-88), Ashlee Eggebraaten (35th/173: 88-85), Samantha Lindeen (44th/176: 89-87) and Lizzie Larson (53rd/183: 94-89).
The Huskies will compete next at the 2016 NSIC Spring Championships on April 23-24. The two day tournament will take place at the Dakota Ridge G.C. in Morton, Minn.
