SCSU's Katie Fitzgerald signs pro contract with New York Riveters

Former St. Cloud State University goaltender Katie Fitzgerald recently signed a contract to play professional hockey with the New York Riveters of the National Women's Hockey League in 2016-17.
Fitzgerald becomes the first SCSU women's player to sign a contract to play in the NWHL, which includes teams in New York, Buffalo, Boston and Connecticut.
A four-year standout for the Huskies in goal, Fitzgerald recently completed her college career at St. Cloud State in 2015-16. Â Check out the video below for comments from Fitzgerald on her recent pro contract signing.
