The third set was one in which SCSU led 17-10 before seeing the Bulldogs go on an 11-4 run to tie the match at 21 all. An ace from Torve put the Huskies up a point, 22-21. UMD fought back and took the 24-23 lead only to see SCSU tie things up at 24. "UMD Duluth is a very, very good team with a fantastic offense," head coach Chad Braegelmann explained. "They put a ton of pressure on us tonight. We responded with a strong outing offensively as well though. Unfortunately, we were not consistent enough on serve receiving. You could tell we got tight in the third set and we were not able to make the plays we needed to send it to the fourth."
The SCSU volleyball team keeps the home stand going and takes on RV Sioux Falls on Friday, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m. before wrapping up the week against No. 2 Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. for Senior Day.
