Huskies Fall to Central Missouri in Round Two of NCAA Regionals

The Huskies were shut out for just the second time this season.
MAGNOLIA, Ark. – After falling behind three runs in the first inning, the St. Cloud State baseball team could not garnish any momentum in a ball game that a strong Central Missouri team controlled from the start. The Mules scored 14 runs over six innings straight before the Huskies could finally put up a scoreless frame. The 15-0 loss moves the Huskies to the other side of the bracket where they will have to win five consecutive games to win the NCAA Central Region Tournament.
Their journey continues at 3:00 PM against the #1 seed, Southern Arkansas on Saturday, May 19.
Kyle Boser was the pitcher of record for SCSU, dropping to 5-6 on the season. Boser went 0.2 innings and surrendered three runs on four hits while striking out one and walking one.
Matt Butler provided two innings of relief and allowed four earned runs on six hits. Zach Iten also pitched in 3.1 innings of work and allowed two earned runs on six hits. Ricardo Garcia logged two innings while allowing one while senior, Logan Sandgren put up one scoreless frame for SCSU.
