St. Cloud State fell by a score of 11-5 to the Southern Arkansas Muleriders.

MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The St. Cloud State baseball team jumped out to an early 2-0 lead to gather some momentum in the third game of their NCAA Tournment run, but eventually fell by a score of 11-5 to the Muleriders of Southern Arkansas.

In the last game of St. Cloud State's season, the Huskies scored five runs on eight hits while committing one error in the field. Shannon Ahern suffered his first loss of the season on the mound, moving him to 7-1 on the year. The sophomore went 2.2 innings and allowed six runs on eight hits while striking out two.
In relief of Ahern was freshman, Matt Osterberg. The lefty went 2.2 innings and allowed two earned runs on five hits. Fellow freshman, Trevor Koenig, also tossed 2.2 innings to close out the ball game for SCSU and did not allow a run while striking out two.

Southern Arkansas' starter, Kenneth Tabor went the distance for the Muleriders, moving to 9-3 on the year after tossing eight innings and allowing five earned runs on six hits. The lefty struck out five and walked three.
The Muleriders tallied three homers while also collecting 17 hits.

Bo Schmitz thrived in his last day at the plate in a Huskies' uniform. The senior was 2-4 with 2 RBI's. Schmitz sent a solo shot to left center field on the first pitch of the game to record his eighth homer of the year. He also scored one run in his final game.
Mathew Meyer was also 2-4 with two RBI's and a home run, while Ethan Ibarra had one RBI on one hit as well.
Jordan Joseph, Caeden Harris and Aaron Hammann also recorded a hit a piece in the season finale.

Dominic Austing threw a team high of 78.2 innings while going 7-1 and striking out 76 batters. The junior ace only walked nine batters all season and threw three complete games.
In his last outing of the season, Austing went 8.2 innings and struck out 12 batters after carrying a no-hitter through 4.2 innings.

Caeden Harris finishes at the top of the Huskies' stat sheet in average at .387. Mitch Mallek finished at .383 with a team high of 67 hits to go with another team leading, 43 runs scored. Bo Schmitz paced the program in homer uns with eight and also totaled 44 RBI's.

In his fifth year, Jackson Goplen led the team in RBI's (47), walks, (24) and stolen bases (13). Goplen finished the year with a .314 average and 54 hits.

Isaac Matchinsky capped his career with 16 RBI's on 25 hits with one homer in the Huskies' DH spot.
Logan Sandgren made three appearances out of the SCSU bullpen after battling an arm injury. He did not yield an earned run in his senior year.
