
Huskies Continue Homestand Against Peacocks, Warriors

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The St. Cloud State women's basketball team returns to action against the Upper Iowa Peacocks on Friday, Feb. 1 at 5:30 PM and Saturday, Feb. 2 against Winona State at 3:30 PM.

SCSU owns an impressive 7-2 mark in games played at Halenbeck Hall this season. Coming off of a weekend split against Northern State and top-ranked MSU-Moorhead, the Huskies will host the Upper Iowa Peacocks on Friday, Feb. 1 at 5:30 PM and the Winona State Warriors at 3:30 PM on Saturday, Feb. 2.Â
Highlighting last weekend's performances was a 25 point effort by Tori Wortz against Northern State as well as a 16 point effort by Nikki Kilbotten against the Dragons on Saturday.Â
The Huskies enter the weekend as the fourth ranked team in the NSIC North and eighth in the overall standings.Â
SCSU is holding opponents to the sixth lowest points per game on average with 59.8 points. Nikki Kilboten leads the conference in blocks per game with 2.6 while Mackenzie Uter ranks 12th in assists per game with 2.8.Â

Savannah Domeyer and Natalie Dinius are leading the scoring efforts for the Peacocks, each averaging over nine points per game. Domeyer leads the team in blocks with 31 while Haley Martin is leading the team's rebounding game. Martin is averaging 5.8 boards per game while having brought in 127 rebounds thus far.Â
As a team, Upper Iowa ranks last in scoring offense and 15th in points allowed while ranking fifth in the NSIC in blocked shots per game.Â

Gabie Doud, Kayla Schaefer and Rachel Novotny are each averaging over 10 points per game while Emily Kleck and Allie Pickrain are each averaging over nine points. Novotny leads the team in rebounds with 7.2 per game while Schaefer is the Warriors' primary three-point threat with a 38.5 percent average.Â
