Former SCSU grad assistant coach Jen Daro named assistant coach at Pittsburg State

Former St. Cloud State University softball graduate assistant coach Jen Daro was named the new assistant softball coach at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan. on July 25.
Daro served as a graduate assistant coach for SCSU softball team over the past two seasons. She helped SCSU post a 43-18 record this past spring and qualify for the NCAA Division II national tournament.
Over the past two seasons, Jen (Daro) was a key member of our team and the success our program had," SCSU head softball coach Paula U'Ren said. "She is a very competitive, driven individual who was a great mentor to our Huskies softball players as a graduate assistant. I look for her to continue her rise in NCAA college coaching as a up and coming coach and look forward to her future success."

A native of Omaha, Neb., Daro played college softball at Creighton University.Â

Daro earned a master's degree in higher education and leadership at St. Cloud State this past May.
