ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Hockey outshot St. Thomas 41-17 but couldn't solve tender Saskia Maurer in a 3-2 loss at the St. Thomas Ice Arena on Friday afternoon. Taylor Lind and Ellie Andersen each scored game-tying goals to make it 1-1 and 2-2 in the first and third frames, but the Tommies responded within a minute of each Huskies tallies. Late in the third period, Adela Skrdlova deflected a pass across the defensive zone towards Addi Scribner. The latter knifed her way through the defense and feathered a pass to Ellie Andersen. SCSU's freshman forward banged home the feed with a strong righthanded shot to even the score at two. St. Thomas responded 53 seconds later, hanging on for the 3-2 victory.

QUOTABLES
St. Cloud State Women's Hockey Head Coach Steve Macdonald
"Today's game came down to capitalizing on chances. We felt as though we were able to create enough chances but were not able to finish. They played a tough game in front of their net and we will have to be better in that area at both ends of the ice tomorrow."
UP NEXT
The Huskies host the Tommies on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. CST for their Homecoming game at the HBNHC. The game will be broadcast on B1G+, available on the SCSU Women's Hockey schedule page.
