Huskies fail to score, falling 4-0 in the road
KALAMAZOO, Mich. – No. 2 St. Cloud State Men's Hockey (9-5-0, 3-3-0 NCHC) dropped the second game of a road series at No. 13 Western Michigan (8-4-0, 3-3-0 NCHC), 4-0, on Saturday evening in Kalamazoo, Mich. The Broncos scored two goals in the second and two empty net goals in the third period to close out the series sweep.
TURNING POINT
After a scoreless first period, the Broncos scored two goals within 17 seconds of each other in the second period to jump out to a 2-0 lead. The Huskies had plenty of chances to score throughout the game, but were unable to find the back of the net.

The Huskies will return home to face No. 6 North Dakota on Dec. 3-4 at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. Puck drop will be at 7:30 p.m. CT on Friday and 6:00 p.m. CT on Saturday on Fox 9 +.

- Senior defenseman Nick Perbix (Elk River, Minn.) led the Huskies in scoring with eight shots on goal.
- Freshman defenseman Jack Peart (Grand Rapids, Minn.) and sophomore forward Veeti Miettinen (Espoo, Finland) each recorded two blocks in the game.
- Junior goaltender Jaxon Castor (Phoenix, Ariz.) made the start in goal and made 20 saves.
- St. Cloud State outshot Western Michigan, 36-24, the ninth time in 14 games the Huskies have outshot their opponent this season.
- The Huskies held the Broncos scoreless in the first period, the 13th time in 14 games St. Cloud State has held its opponent scoreless in the opening period.
- Castor made 20 saves in the game, the second time this season and the fifth time in his career he has made at least 20 saves.
- Perbix recorded a career-high eight shots on goal in the game.
- Peart and Miettinen each matched career-highs with two blocks.
