ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Hockey saw Bemidji State score two quick goals late in the third period to turn a 2-1 lead entering the frame into a gut-wrenching 4-3 loss on Friday evening. Taylor Lind scored twice for SCSU including a strike with just over two to play that cut the deficit to one while Olivia Cvar added the Huskies' middle goal. Goaltender Emma Polusny recorded her 3000th career save and moved to second all-time in program history in stops. Six different Huskies had an assist while Lind and Nicole Ness each led with four shots on goal. SCSU led twice in the game as Lind opened things midway through the first by putting home a rebound and Cvar put the Huskies back on the high side tied at one early in the second. Cvar's wrister came off a gorgeous touch from the blue line that Klara Hymlarova sent straight to the former crashing the slot.

QUOTABLES
St. Cloud State Women's Hockey Head Coach Steve Macdonald
"Those games leave you speechless sometimes. Out of nowhere you're down two goals and have to pull your goalie going from up one. Any team in our league, it doesn't matter who you're playing, you can't give them any time and space. They're going to capitalize on that. To be honest, I thought our discipline and some of the details in our game structurally weren't very good all game. We got away from it early on and it carried through, they got a few chances and the puck found the back of the net. You give a team too many chances, that's going to happen. We had our chances as well, we did do some things that created chances on offense that we like, but when the details aren't there in the discipline of it then that has the chances of happening."
On the Huskies' performance in the first two periods… "Our anticipation offensively, jumping on pucks, getting on their defenders and their wings, I thought we did a good job there. That created our offense for us and some time in the O-zone, which was great. But we were just way too casual in the neutral zone and D-zone. I go back to those areas, and that kept us from getting chances and more sustained pressure which allowed them back into the game and eventually win it."
On areas to address in the finale… "Our D-zone and specifically some of our decisions on the breakout. You also have to look at some of the things we did well offensively. We'll look at that to make sure we're continuing to do those, but we have to tighten up. There's areas that we have to tighten up on, and we need to do that heading into tomorrow."
