12 from St. Cloud State Softball Named NFCA Scholar Athletes

12 Huskies named Scholar Athletes by NFCA
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Softball had 12 student-athletes named Scholar Athletes by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), as the organization announced its 2021-22 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes in August.
In order to be named an NFCA Scholar Athlete, student athletes must achieve and maintain a 3.5 or better grade-point-average (GPA) during the academic year. In total, 111 Huskies have been named NFCA Scholar Athletes since its inception in 1999.
Earning the Scholar Athlete distinction for St. Cloud State was junior Sophie Culhane (Maple Grove, Minn.), freshman Emma Eickhoff (Becker, Minn.), junior Kaitlyn Istvanovich (Linstrom, Minn.), senior Lauren Kirchberg (Columbus, Wis.), sophomore Lydia Krueger (Appleton, Wis.), senior Haley McFarlane (Swisher, Iowa), junior Gabrielle Nelson (Fargo, N.D.), senior Alexandra Pinkowski (Prior Lake, Minn.), freshman Madison Spah (Anoka, Minn.), senior Kylie Thomsen (Elk Grove, Ill.), senior Sydney Trees (Prior Lake, Minn.) and junior Holly Weinberger (Waconia, Minn.).
