Anthony Roberts scores career-high 36 in the loss
ST. CLOUD, MINN. – The St. Cloud State University men's basketball team closed the regular season with a 92-89 overtime loss at Bemidji State University. Anthony Roberts (Chicago, Ill. / Oak Park) led the Huskies in scoring, tallying a career-high 36 points and 12 rebounds, while Caleb Donaldson (Bloomington, Ill. / Bloomington) scored his 1000th career point. With the loss, St. Cloud State is now 10-17 overall and 6-12 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play.
GAME SUMMARY
The Huskies trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half, falling behind 21-9 minutes into the game. A furious rally in the second portion of the half, though, resulted in a 41-37 halftime lead for St. Cloud State. Anthony Roberts (Chicago, Ill. / Oak Park) and Ryan Bagley (Pocatello, Idao / Burley) led the offensive charge for the Huskies, scoring 11 and 10 points in the opening 20 minutes of play respectively.
St. Cloud State continued to maintain pace at the start of the second half, though the Beavers continued to hang in the rear view mirror, pestering the Huskies before taking a 60-58 lead at the 10 minute mark. It was a lead Bemidji State would eventually relinquish. Trailing 76-70 with two minutes remaining in regulation, St. Cloud State put together a furious last minute rally, tying the game with 20 seconds on a clutch three by Luke Taylor (Germantown, Wis. / Germantown). When the Beavers' last second shot clanged off the backboard, the game was headed to overtime, the two teams deadlocked at 80-80. Tried legs caught up with the Huskies in overtime, as they fell to Bemidji State by a final score of 92-89.

- Anthony Roberts (Chicago, Ill. / Oak Park) scored a career-high 36 points in the loss, including 31 in regulation. He additionally recorded his 11th double-double of the season with 12 rebounds.
- Caleb Donaldson (Bloomington, Ill. / Bloomington) scored his 1000th career point in the first half of the game and ended overtime with 18 total. The junior joins Roberts as the second Husky to score 1000 points this season and closed the game with 18 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals.
- Ryan Bagley (Pocatello, Idaho / Burley) closed the game with 12 points and four rebounds.

St. Cloud State will wait to find out its next opponent, as the team is set to face either Winona State or Wayne State in the opening round of the NSIC / Sanford Health Tournament.
