St. Cloud State Men’s Hockey to Host Red/Black Scrimmage on Sept. 25

Fans will be able to watch the open scrimmage for free at the Brooks Center
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Men's Hockey will host its annual Red/Black Scrimmage at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m. CT. This will be the public's first chance to the see the newly installed videoboards and sound system at the Brooks Center. The scrimmage will be free to the public.
The Huskies will split into two teams and participate in a controlled scrimmage for three 10-minute periods. The first two periods will be 5-on-5 hockey with the final period consisting of power play / penalty kill work.
The Huskies are coming off their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last five seasons and 16th overall in 2021-22. St. Cloud earned the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Midwest Regional in Allentown and ended the season with a 18-15-4 record overall. The Huskies' talented returning corps is headlined by third-year captain Spencer Meier and two of last season's top-four point scorers as Jami Krannila (15-15-30) and Zach Okabe (11-17-28) take the ice for their senior seasons.
