St. Cloud State Women’s Soccer Earns Huge Road Win

Goals from Parsons and Trapino help the Huskies earn fourth consecutive win, tenth overall
ABERDEEN, S.D. – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer (10-2-1, 7-1-1 NSIC) defeated Northern State 2-1 on Friday night in Aberdeen, S.D. Redshirt junior Gracie Parsons (Omaha, Neb.) scored the first goal putting the Huskies up 1-0. Northern State (6-3-3, 5-1-3 NSIC) would respond with a goal of its own 15 minutes later tying the game 1-1. The game was only tied for ten minutes before freshman forward Linsey Trapino (Verona, Wis.) found the back of the net, giving St. Cloud State a 2-1 lead.
TURNING POINT
With 5 minutes left in the first half, Trapino took a pass from fifth-year forward Jenna Dominguez (Geneva, Ill.) and rocketed a left-footed shot across the net into the upper corner of the left side of the goal, over the outstretched arms of the Northern State goalkeeper giving the Huskies a 2-1 edge.
