Women's Hockey Adds Three to 2024-25 Freshman Class

Krueger, Yrjola, Kyrkko Set to Join the Huskies Next Year
ST. CLOUD, MINN. – St. Cloud State Women's Hockey has announced three additions to the team. Forward Myah Krueger (Stillwater, Minnesota), defender Siiri Yrjola (Vantaa, Finland), and goaltender Emilia Kyrkko (Nokia, Finland) will be joining the team for the 2024-25 season. Huskies Head Coach, Brian Idalski, is thankful for the St. Cloud State staff for their recruiting efforts, saying, "First and foremost, thanks to the staff for their effort and energy to recruit these outstanding student-athletes to St. Cloud State."
EMILIA KYRKKO
Kyrkko will be joining the Huskies after four seasons with Team Kuortane in the Finnish Naisten Liiga. In four seasons for Team Kuortane, Kyrkko has a 2.84 goals against average and a .922 save percentage. Kyrkko has faced 2,152 shots and saved 1,984 shots faced in 3,560 minutes played. Huskies Head Coach Brian Idalski on Kyrkko, "Siiri is a smooth skating, smart defensive player who can impact the game on both ends of the ice."
SIIRI YRJOLA
Yrjola will be joining the Huskies after four seasons with HIFK in the Finnish Naisten Liiga. The defender out of Vantaa, Finland tallied 26 goals and 63 assists for 89 points in 103 games played with HIFK. When asked about Siiri, Huskies Head Coach Brian Idalski said, "Siiri is a smooth skating, smart defensive player who can impact the game on both ends of the ice.
MYAH KRUEGER
Krueger joins the Huskies after three seasons with Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Minnesota. In 76 games played for the Ponies, the forward totaled 35 goals and 54 assists for 89 points. Huskies Head Coach, Brian Idalski, on Krueger: "Myah is a terrific 200-foot player with a high compete level. She is a perfect culture fit for the passion to improve and love of the game we are looking for at St. Cloud State."
