Three Huskies Find the Back of the Net
ST. CLOUD, MINN. – The St. Cloud State Women's Hockey team (14-7-1, 9-6-1 WCHA) comes back in game two against (RV) Minnesota State (10-13-0, 4-12-0 WCHA) by a score of 4-2.
The Huskies would start out strong, scoring two goals in the first frame. Ella Anick would start off scoring with a one timer just across the blue line. Avery Farrell followed and scored her sixth goal of the season to put St. Cloud State up by two.
Three goals were scored in the middle frame. Former Husky Mackenzie Bourgerie would score the first goal by the Mavericks in her first series back at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. Whitney Tuttle would score her second goal of the series to tie the game at two apiece. With under two minutes in the middle period, Ella Anick would score her second goal of the game, helping the Huskies take the lead.
With under 10 minutes to play in the final 20, Laura Zimmermann would find the back of the net to put the Huskies up by two. Zimmermann's goal would be the final goal of the game, leaving the score at 4-2.

The Huskies are back in action next weekend against St. Thomas. Friday's game will be played at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center with puck drop scheduled for 3:00 p.m. CT. On Saturday, the team will travel to Mendota Heights with puck drop set for 6:00 p.m.
