ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Athletics recognized two student-athletes as the Wolters Kluwer Athletes of the Month for September. Men's Soccer senior Philip Caputo (Eagan, Minn.) was named Male Athlete of the Month while Women's Soccer junior Ellie Primerano (Saint Joseph, Mich.) was named Female Athlete of the Month for their performances during the month.

- Named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week Twice (Sept. 16 | Sept. 30).
- Set the single game program record for points (nine), tied the single game record for goals (three) and set the single game record for assists (three) in the Huskies 7-2 win over Upper Iowa on Sept. 13.
- Helped the Huskies take down No. 21 UW-Parkside and (RV) Purdue Northwest which were the program's first ever wins against nationally ranked opponents.
- Netted his second hat trick of the year (including the game-winning goal) and tallied an assist for seven points (second most in a single game in program history) in the win over UWP.
- Scored a goal in five consecutive games, setting a new program record.
- Led the GLIAC in goals (nine), goals/game (1.29), points (22), points/game (3.14), shots (26), shots/game (3.71) and was tied for second in assists (four) and assists/game (0.57) in September.
- Paced the Huskies in goals (nine), points (22), shots (26), shots on goal (14) and tied for the lead in assists (four) during the month.
- Helped St. Cloud State open the season with a 5-2-0 overall / 3-0-0 GLIAC record.
- SCSU ended September riding the programs longest ever win streak (five) and have already posted the program record for wins in a season with five.
- Earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Offensive Player of the Week honors (Sept. 23) after scoring two goals and recording an assist for a five-point weekend.
- Became the 22nd player in program history to reach 25 career points, and she now ranks 19th all-time with 28 career points (8g/12a).
- Strung together a three-match goal streak.
- Scored game-winning goals in the Huskies wins over UW-Parkside and Bemidji State.
- Among NSIC leaders in September, she ranked: first in game-winning goals (two), tied for second in goals (four) and goals/game (0.50), tied for third in points (nine) and points/game (1.13) and tied for seventh in shots per game (2.00)
- Led the Huskies in points (nine), goals (four), second in shots (16) and shots on goal (nine) and was tied for second in assists (one) during the month.
- Helped SCSU open the season with a 6-2-0 overall / 3-1-0 NSIC record.
