Huskies win 15-1 and 10-5 over Beavers to improve to 7-1 in NSIC play
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – St. Cloud State Baseball (11-10, 7-1 NSIC) completed a doubleheader sweep of Bemidji State (5-13, 2-6 NSIC) on Saturday afternoon at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn. The Huskies won scored 10 or more runs in both games and got solid pitching from its starters, winning 15-1 and 10-5 to improve to 14-2 all-time in games played at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Game 1: SCSU 15, BSU 1
St. Cloud State opened up the scoring with a six-run first inning and five Huskies picking up RBI, including a two RBI single from redshirt junior Hayden Konkol (Denmark, Wis.). The Huskies extended their lead with a run in the third and fourth innings, two in the fifth inning and then opened up the game in the sixth inning with five runs. The final finishing blow came from junior Wilmis Castro (Port St. Lucie, Fla.), who launched his fourth home run of the season on a three-run shot to make the score 15-1.
Senior Eamonn Mulhern (Madison, Wis.) was solid on the mound, as he went the distance and pitched all seven innings, allowing one run, none earned, on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts.

The day's second game was much closer game before the Huskies pulled away late. The Huskies scored two in the first inning and one more in the second on an RBI single from Frank to take a 3-0 lead, but Bemidji State would pull back within one on a two-run home run in the third inning.
The score would remain 3-2 until the sixth inning, when the Huskies score three in the sixth inning and four in the seventh to open up the game. Senior Nick Ibrahim (Woodbury, Minn.) and Konkol each had RBI doubles in the sixth inning and redshirt freshman Max Robinson (St. Michael, Minn.) had a two-RBI double in the seventh.
Sophomore AJ Price (Neenah, Wis.) pitched seven innings and struck out eight while only allowing three earned runs on three hits and three walks.
