Zimmermann Named to Swiss National Team for 2024 Six Nations Tournament

Zimmermann set to compete for Switzerland at the Six Nations Tournament in Tampere, Finland from Dec. 11-15
OPFIKON, Switzerland – St. Cloud State Women's Hockey redshirt sophomore forward Laura Zimmermann (Ringgenberg, Switzerland) has been named Switzerland's National Team that will compete at the 2024 Six Nations Tournament, as announced by the organization on Nov. 26. Zimmermann and the Swiss will travel to Tampere, Finland, from Dec. 11-15 for the tournament.
The Six Nations Tournament is the third competition on the annual Women's Euro Hockey Tour (WEHT) and in addition to Switzerland, includes Canada, Czechia, Finland, Sweden and the U.S.
The six participating countries will be split into two groups. Group A includes the United States, Finland and Switzerland, while Group B features Canada, Czechia and Sweden. Teams will play each team in their group, before the top two teams of each group meet to determine placement in the championship and third-place games.
Switzerland opens play on Dec. 12 against the United Sates at Hakametsä Arena. Puck drop is slated for 3 p.m. local time (7 a.m. CT).
This season, Zimmermann has skated in all 18 games and has tallied six points (two goals/four assists).
