SCSU Swim & Dive Continues Competition at NSIC Championships

200-yard freestyle relay team earned third-place finish
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – St. Cloud State Women's Swim & Dive had six top-eight finishes in individual competition and a third-place relay finish on the third day of competition on Friday at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Huskies' 200-yard freestyle relay team earned a third-place finish for SCSU's best finish of the day.

Augustana remains in first place at the championships with 619.5 points after the third day of competition, while Minnesota State (594) and St. Cloud State (472) sat at second and third place, respectively. Sioux Falls is currently in fourth place with 457.5 points while Concordia St. Paul is in fifth place with 278 points.
TOP HUSKIES
The NSIC Championships conclude tomorrow at the Midco Aquatic Center in Sioux Falls. Swimming prelims will take place at 10:00 a.m. CT and finals at 5:30 p.m. CT. Diving prelims begin at 1:00 p.m. CT and finals at 5:30 p.m. CT.

- In the 200-yard freestyle relay, SCSU's team of junior Kendall Gonzalez (Waukesha, Wis.), junior Anna Reschko (Frankfurt, Germany), sophomore Alba Silva Alcoba (Amposta, Spain) and junior Meredith Bangs (Muskego, Wis.) earned a third-place finish with a time of 1:35.52.
- In the 500-yard freestyle, the Huskies finished 5-7-8 with junior Ruthie Lucht (Tempe, Ariz.) finishing fifth at 5:08.48, while sophomore Izzy Koebele (Bismarck, N.D.) finished seventh at 5:12.67 and Bangs finished eighth at 5:14.85.
- In the 100-yard breaststroke, Silva Alcoba finished fifth at 1:05.30 while senior Kara Cowell (Neenah, Wis.) finished eighth at 1:05.80.
- In the 200-yard butterfly, Reschko earned a fifth-place finish at 2:08.37.
