St. Cloud State Women’s Hockey Releases Full 2024-25 Schedule

Opening weekend set for Sept. 20-21, nonconference slate includes series against Lindenwood, Mercyhurst, Union
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Hockey announced its full 2024-25 schedule, adding three series with nonconference opponents to its schedule. Each of the three-nonconference series, Lindenwood (Mo.), Mercyhurst (Pa.) and Union (N.Y.), feature return opponents from 2023-24. Additionally, the Huskies will host Manitoba for an exhibition game on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center to kick off their home schedule.
The schedule features 34 games including 16 regular season contests at the Brooks Center. Sixteen of the Huskies' 34 regular season tilts feature an opponent that closed the 2023-24 season nationally ranked, with an additional four games against programs that ended the year receiving votes.
For the sixth consecutive season (excluding 2020-21, when only conference teams were played), the Huskies will match up against Lindenwood on Sept. 20-21, returning to St. Charles, Mo. after making the trip in 2022. Mercyhurst will make the trip to St. Cloud on Oct. 4-5 after SCSU traveled to Erie, Pa. in 2023-24. Finally, St. Cloud State will make its way to Schenectady, N.Y. on Nov. 29-30 to play Union on its home ice for the first time in the programs third and fourth meetings all-time.
In all, the Huskies will play 16 regular season games inside the Brooks Center in 2024-25 with WCHA series against Ohio State (Oct. 18-19), Wisconsin (Nov. 1-2), Minnesota State (Nov. 15-16), Minnesota Duluth (Dec. 6-7) and Bemidji State (Jan. 17-18) and home-and-home games against St. Thomas (Oct. 26 and Jan. 31) and Minnesota (Nov. 23 and Feb. 15) already announced.
Following the regular season, the WCHA Tournament will begin with all eight league teams advancing to the First Round, with seeding set by the regular season standings. The top four seeds each host a best-of-three quarterfinal series the weekend of Feb. 28-March 2, and the four winners will advance to meet at the WCHA Final Faceoff on March 7-8 at Amsoil Arena in Duluth, Minn.
