Game-winner in 71st minute extends SCSU’s unbeaten streak against Winona State to six
WINONA, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer (8-1-3, 6-1-2 NSIC) senior forward Ellie Primerano (St. Joseph, Mich.) scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Winona State (5-3-3, 4-3-2 NSIC) on Friday afternoon in Winona. The Huskies outshot the Warriors, 27-6 and had 11 shots on goal while Primerano was able to break through with the game-winner in the game's 71st minute to seal the victory.

SCSU got one of its six corner kicks in the 71st minute and that would be the moment they were able to break the scoreless tie and score the lone goal of the game. Junior forward Linsey Trapino (Verona, Wis.) took the corner and sent the set piece flying through the box and all the way to the other side of the goal box where junior defender Ana Spaine (West Des Moines, Iowa) was waiting and sent a shot to net, where Primerano was near the goal line and able to finish off the attempt and get the ball to the back of the net.

- SCSU matched a season-high in shot attempts at 27 and recorded its third-most shots on goal at 11.
- Primerano scored her fourth goal of the season with her first goal since Sept. 26 against Jamestown. The goal was her 15th career goal and her 45th career point as she moves to eighth all-time on the SCSU scoring list.
- The game-winning goal was her seventh career game-winning score, which ranks fifth all-time in program history.
- Trapino recorded her second assist of the season while Spaine recorded her first.
- Strickland recorded her seventh shutout of the season, a mark which ranks fifth all-time in program history for a single season. Her 15th career shutout also ranks third all-time.
