UMD added its third tally of the game just 29 seconds into the third period before St. Cloud State cut its deficit back to one just under five minutes later after freshman forward Payton Remick (Roseau, Minn.) tipped graduate defender Grace Wolfe's (Owatonna, Minn.) shot into the back of the net for her first collegiate goal. The Huskies emptied their net for the final 2:58 but could not tie the game despite giving themselves multiple scoring chances.
