
SCSU Swim & Dive Continues Competition at NSIC Championships

200-yard freestyle relay team earned third-place finish
WEST FARGO, N.D. – The St. Cloud State Women's Swimming & Diving team had eight top-eight finishes on the third day of competition at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championships in West Fargo, N.D. The Huskies' 200-yard freestyle relay team earned a third-place finish for SCSU's best finish of the day
TEAM SCORES
Augustana remains in first place at the championships with 652 points, while Minnesota State (586) and St. Cloud State (486.5) sat at second and third place, respectively. Sioux falls is currently in fourth place with 469 points while Concordia St. Paul is in fifth place with 288.5 points.
TOP HUSKIES
- Senior Ruthie Lutch earned fourth place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:05.49
- Junior Natalie Gneiser finished eighth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 57.97
- Freshman Hallie Drossel went a 1:04.26 earning her fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke
- SCSU's 200-yard freestyle relay team of senior Alba Alcoba, senior Meredith Bangs, freshman Emma Hoppman, and senior Kendall Gonzalez, finished third at 1:34.63
UP NEXT
The NSIC Championships conclude tomorrow at the Hulbert Aquatic Center in West Fargo. Swimming prelims will take place at 10:00 a.m. CT and finals at 5:30 p.m. CT. Diving prelims begin at 1:00 p.m. and finals occurring with swimming at 5:30 p.m.
