Eddie Estrada begins his first season with St. Cloud State as a volunteer assistant coach in 2023.
Well-known in Minnesota baseball circles thanks to his career with the Gophers, Estrada blasted seven home runs to go with a monstrous .920 OPS as a senior in 2019. Across his four-year career spanning 129 games played, the lefthanded power bat drove in 46 while adding 12 doubles and 10 homers, scoring 45 runs and drawing walks at a 13.4% clip.
A three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection at Minnesota, Estrada also spent three seasons in the Northwoods League with the Willmar Stingers. He slashed .296/.376/.425 for a .801 OPS over 107 games in Willmar, doubling 21 times with seven long balls and 61 RBI en route to making a 2016 Major League Dreams Showcase appearance.
Ranked as the No. 1 player in the state of Minnesota by Prep Baseball Report entering his senior season at Litchfield, Eddie is the son of Eduardo and Tanya Estrada. His younger sister Jasmin is a standout softball player at St. Cloud State.
