2016-17 (Senior): Played 34 games ... scored one goal and set new career highs with five assists and six points ... scored the game-winning goal on Oct. 8 vs. then-No. 7 North Dakota ... charted 51 shots on goal ... blocked four shots ... named to the All-WCHA Academic Team.
2015-16 (Junior): Appeared in 33 games, tying a career high with two goals and establishing new career marks with two assists and four points...Put 42 shots on goal...Scored the game-winning goal in the Huskies 4-1 win vs. Minnesota State on Nov. 13...-14 +/-...Blocked 19 shots.
2014-15 (Sophomore): Played in 34 games...Scored her first career goal on Oct. 3 in a 5-2 loss against Boston University with one more season goal to follow...Charted two assists and 42 shots.
2013-14 (Freshman): Played in all 36 games...Recorded four assists, 38 shots and 20 blocked shots defensively...-15 +/-...Tallied her first two assists in the Huskies series against Minnesota on Nov. 8-9.
Before SCSU: Member of the Shaftesbury High School Prep hockey team ...Had her best season as a senior scoring, 26 goals and 29 assists in 62 games...Posted 123 goals and 230 points in 188 career games...In 2010, she was nominated for the Dakota High School hockey Rookie of the Year and Best Sportsmanship awards...Won the Best Sportsmanship and Most Valuable Player awards in 2011 for Balmoral Hall High School...She helped lead Balmoral Hall to a second place finish in the JWHL...Played two years with the female U18 Team Manitoba and won a bronze and silver medal.
Personal: An honor roll student in high school and plans to major in Nursing at St. Cloud State. Kelsey is the daughter of Doug and Wendy Saelens.
