Coached by Joe Fredrickson, Schmid scored 125 goals and 97 assists (222 points) as a prep athlete … A two-time team MVP and team captain, Schmid charted All-North Suburban Conference and All-State Honorable Mention status during her prep career … Named the Minnesota Prep Athlete of the Week in January of 2008 … All-Conference Honorable Mention squad twice in soccer ... Personal: An academic letterwinner and a participant in DECCA and her school’s Link program, Haylea is the daughter of Tony and Kathy Schmid and a native of Oak Grove. She lists her parents as greatest influences on her career. Schmid is majoring in finance and on the Dean's List at SCSU.
