2011-12: Swam the top time of the season (:28.43) in the 50 back in Mankato (1/14/12)…also participated in the 50 and 200 free and the 100 & 200 backstroke…swam a leg in the 200 and 400 medley relay events…touched the wall with the third best time of the season in the 200 back with a time of 2:08.32.

2010-11: Martinez swam her best time of the season in the 50 free (:28.16) at the conference tourney in 2011…named team captain for 2011-12 season…charted a personal title in the 200 back on Oct. 30, touching the wall in 2:07.08, which marked a national B-cut time.

2009-10: Martinez’s season highs include 2:03.11 200-free and 0:59.77 100-backstroke.

HIGH SCHOOL: 2009 graduate of Xavier College Preparatory swim team...four-time letterwinner...voted her team’s Freshman of the Year and Most Improved... co-captain as a senior while garnering the Senior Year Coach’s award...a member of four Regional and State Championship squads....finished in the top eight in the 100 yard backstroke at the Arizona State Tournament, including a third place finish her senior year in 2008....An All-American in the 200 medley relay in 2008...she has participated in sectional swim meets, Far Western meets and multiple other travel meets with her club team...coached by Colleen Murphy.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Robert and Brooks Martinez of Phoenix, Ariz...named Kurt Warner as her favorite sports personality...lists Mark Runkin as the person with the greatest influence on her career.
