Tyler Hastedt joined the St. Cloud State staff in September 2025 as the Athletics Video Production and Content Manager. In his position, Hastedt will oversee video content for video board shows at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in addition to team social media pages and live broadcasts.
Hastedt joined SCSU Athletics after stints at the University of Rhode Island and the University of North Dakota. He served as the lead video content creator at URI, generating weekly promo videos and social media content that facilitated record-setting season ticket revenue totals for the Rhode Island Football and Women's Basketball programs. In his second season at URI, Hastedt helped lead coverage of Rhody Women's Basketball's historic 2022-23 season in which the team earned its first-ever conference championship.
Hastedt served as the lead producer of the Through These Doors video series documenting the North Dakota Hockey program. During his time at UND, Tyler helped promote individual standouts such as Hobey Baker award candidate Jordan Kawaguchi, Shane Pinto, and Jake Sanderson.
Hastedt's journey in collegiate athletics began at Saint Francis University as a video production graduate assistant. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree in December 2018.
Hastedt graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. He worked as a sports and news reporter at KOMU 8, an NBC-affiliate television station in Columbia, Mo. He is a native of Novi, Michigan and a proud Detroit sports fan.
