The Huskies opened the game's scoring in the first period with a sterling power play conversion by Jonny Brodzinski at 10:02. He was assisted on the goal by Kalle Kossila and Andrew Prochno. This was Brodzinski's fourth goal of the season, while it marked Kossila's fifth assist of the year and Prochno's sixth assist of the campaign. Prochno has now posted at least a point in each of the Huskies' last four outings.

In the second period, SCSU regained the lead with an even-strength goal by defender Niklas Nevalainen at 16:10 of the period. Joey Benik and Brodzinski each added assists on the play for the Huskies. Brodzinski currently paces the Huskies on offense this season with 11 points (4g/7a) and he has tallied five of those points in the last three games for SCSU.

The Tigers then tied the game at 2-2 with an even strength goal by Scott Wamsganz at 11:18 of the third period. The solo assist on the play was credited to Jeff Collett.

Both squads then skated to a scoreless tie for the remaining minutes of regulation and through the OT period.
