ONE FOR THE RECORDS: The 10 goal difference in SCSU's 10-0 win on Nov. 15 at UAH helped the Huskies tie a team record for biggest margin of victory in a game. The Huskies also hit the 10 goal margin of victory in a 10-0 win at Yale on Oct. 30, 2005. The 10 goals is the most for the Huskies in a game since the win at Yale and it was also the most goals scored in a game against UAH. The previous best effort against UAH was a 9-2 win over the Chargers on Feb. 6, 1988.
HELPING HAND: Junior defender Andrew Prochno scored his 50th career assist on Nov. 15 at UAH. He had four assists in the UAH series and now has 52 assists in his career along with 11 goals for 63 points as a Husky. He is the eighth Husky defenseman to hit the 50 assist plateau since 1987-88. Prochno ranks sixth among SCSU defenders with 51 career assists, just ahead of Derek Eastman and former NHLer Bret Hedican, who each had 50 career assists.
STREAK SNAPPED: The Huskies snapped a four-game power play goal scoring drought on Nov. 15. The Huskies had 4 power play goals on Nov. 15 at UAH, which is one more PPG than they had scored in their first eight games combined. In the first eight games of the season, the Huskies had posted just three power play goals.
AMONG THE BEST: SCSU ranks 11th in the nation with an offensive average of 3.50 goals per game and they rank second in the nation on defense with an average of 1.80 goals allowed per game. SCSU's winning rate of 85.0% this season currently ranks third in the nation. SCSU ranks 12th in the nation on the penalty kill at 86.7%. The current SCSU record for penalty kill in a season is 87.3% set during the 2007-08 season.
SET THE TEMPO: The Huskies have only been outshot once this season and they currently have outshot their opponents 364-236 this winter. SCSU has also outscored its opponents 35-18 this season. One more Husky fact - SCSU has only allowed four power play goals in 10 games this season.
