Minneapolis, Minn. - The nationally ranked St. Cloud State University baseball team improved to 15-2 on the season with another twinbill sweep over Sioux Falls on March 23 in the Minneapolis Metrodome.

In game one, SCSU posted a 10-3 win and in game two the Huskies charted a 5-2 victory over USF. The two wins ended a perfect 4-0 weekend for the Huskies against USF and the sweep also marked the opening of the NSIC schedule for the Huskies in 2013.

Complete results and details on the games last night will be posted when available. Of note, the second game was completed in the early morning hours of March 24.

SCSU head coach Pat Dolan's thoughts on the game:

"Offensively, to score 35 runs in the series and have quality at bats throughout was needed and impressive. USF has some nice arms that will win games in the Northern Sun."

"(Kyle) Fischer was his typical strike throwing Fish, and I think we found our number four starter in Fitz (Corey Fitzgerald). He was lights out!"

"Great weekend to start our NSIC schedule! I thought two years ago at the regional that the game ending at 1:30 a.m. was a first? The 4:30 a.m. finish last night was a first for us...and hopefull it will be the last to end that early in the morning. I give a lot of thanks to both Matt and his players, and our guys, for competing at these odd times."
