SCSU Soccer on the road to Augustana and Wayne State

The St. Cloud State University soccer team will continue its 2014 season with a pair of NSIC road games this weekend. On Oct. 11, the Huskies will play an 11 a.m. match at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D. and on Oct. 12, the Huskies will travel to Wayne State in Wayne, Neb. for a 1 p.m. match.

HUSKIES HEADLINES:
- The Huskies own a 3-7-0 overall record and 2-5-0 NSIC record this season. They will be looking to snap a four-game losing streak this weekend at Augie and WSC.
- Taige Thoreson and Kara Espinosa lead the Huskies with four points apiece this fall. Espinosa has two goals and Thoreson has one goal and two assists this fall.
- Kate Fearing, Naomi Kolhoff and Ally Herod all posted their first goals of the season for the Huskies last weekend. Herod scored the lone goal in SCSU's 5-1 loss to Southwest Minnesota State, which was her third career goal at SCSU. Kolhoff and Fearing each scored goals in SCSU's 3-2 loss to Sioux Falls on Oct. 5. Kolhoff now has five goals during her career at SCSU, while the goal was Fearing's first career goal as a Husky.
- In recent games, SCSU goalkeepers Brittany Plombon and Kenzie Hanzlik have shared net duties. Plombon's GAA this season stands at 2.00, while Hanzlik's season GAA is 2.33.
- The Huskies will be back home at Husky Stadium on Oct. 17 for a 7 p.m. match against U-Mary. On Oct. 19, the Huskies will complete the NSIC weekend with a home match against Minot State at 1 p.m.
