St. Cloud State soccer suffers 2-1 setback at Augustana

The St. Cloud State University soccer team lost a 2-1 match at Augustana College on Saturday, Oct. 11 in Sioux Falls, S.D. The loss moves SCSU's record to 3-8, 2-6 NSIC, while Augustana improves to 9-2, 7-1.
The Huskies jumped to a 1-0 lead after a scoreless first half with a goal by Taige Thoreson at 62:15, which was here second goal of the season.
Augustana went on to tie the game at 1-1 with a goal by Payton Pry at 78:22. The Vikings charted the game winner at 82:10 with a goal by Mackenzie Main.
SCSU was outshot in the game 16-9 as Kenzie Hanzlik was the goalie of record for the Huskies with five saves. Ashley Limmer had four saves and the win for AC in the nets.
The Huskies will continue their road trip weekend with a 1 p.m. NSIC battle at Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb. on Oct. 12.
