SCSU Volleyball Falls to Minot State, 0-3

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State volleyball competed against Minot State this evening in Halenbeck Hall. The Huskies fell to the Beavers in three straight sets with final scores of 26-28, 17-25 and 23-25.
The Huskies lost a tough first set to the Beavers with tie scores 12 times throughout, ending the set 26-28. SCSU struggled at the start of the second set falling behind 10-20, not being able to recover the Huskies lost 17-25. SCSU gave up their lead in the third set falling to Minot State, 23-25.
The Huskies fall to 7-13 overall and 1-11 in the NSIC. Minot State improves their record to 5-15 overall and 3-9 in conference play.
Kaitlin Doughty (Tomahawk, Wis.) led the Huskies in kills with 8.
Erin Ohlemann (Golden Valley, Minn.) tallied 23 assists and 11 digs.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) posted 14 digs.
Jen Dixon led Minot State with a team-high 14 kills.
The Huskies return to action tomorrow as they take on the University of Mary at 4 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall.
