St. Cloud State Soccer to host CSP and MSU

The St. Cloud State University soccer team (4-10-0, 3-8-0 NSIC) will continue its 2014 season this weekend with a pair of home games at scenic Husky Stadium. The Huskies will open the weekend with a NSIC showdown against Concordia-St. Paul at 7 p.m. SCSU will complete the weekend with a match against conference rival Minnesota State University, Mankato at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26.
Tickets for both matches are available at the gate. As always, all SCSU students with a valid SCSU student ID card are admitted FREE to all regular season home games in 2014. Just show your ID card at the gate and you get in FREE.

- The St. Cloud State University soccer team moved its 2014 season record to 4-10-0, 3-8-0 NSIC after a pair of overtime losses in NSIC action this past weekend. On Oct. 17, the Huskies were victims of two penalty kick goals and lost 2-1 to the University of Mary at Husky Stadium. On Oct. 19, the Huskies lost another 2-1 OT decision against league foe Minot State at home.
- In the game against Mary, senior forward Taige Thoreson scored her team-leading fourth goal on Oct. 17. She also leads the Huskies with 10 points this fall. She now has nine goals during her two-year run at SCSU. Thoreson is a transfer from Rochester Community and Technical College. Thoreson paces SCSU this fall with 42 shots.
-  Junior defender Faith Bila added her first goal of the 2014 season with a goal against Minot State on Oct. 19. This was Bila's fourth point of the season and it was the first goal of her three-year career at SCSU.
