Final round of Augustana Invite canceled, women's golf places fifth

Sioux Falls, S.D. – Due to cold and high winds the final round of the of the Augustana College Women's Golf Spring Invite was canceled Sunday and the St. Cloud State squad returned home in a tie for fifth place in the 11-team field.
The Huskies posted a team score of 331 Saturday on the par 72 track at Prairie Green Golf Course in Sioux Falls. Augustana was the team champion posting a score of 302.
St. Cloud State was led by first-year golfer Laurel Enstrom and sophomore Brooke Chandler as both players shot an eight-over-par 80 and tied for 15th place.
Junior Katie Kruchten shot an 82 and tied for 26th place. Sophomore Ashlee Lindeen tied for 45th place carding an 89 and Shelby Sauer rounded out the team score with a 90 and tied for 48th place.
The Huskies return to competition on April 26 and 27 at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championship in Morton, Minn.
