On-campus interviews for women's hockey coach position to begin Thursday

St. Cloud, Minn. – On-campus interviews for candidates for the St. Cloud State head women's hockey coach position will begin this Thursday, May 15. The candidates are Tracy Cassano, Jim Fetter, John Harrington, Jenny Potter and Eric Rud.
Cassano is currently the head girls' hockey coach at Burnsville High School. She has also coached girls' hockey at Chaska/Chanhassen and Rosemount High Schools. She is the 2014 Minnesota Class AA Girls' Hockey Coach of the Year. An NCAA national champion at the University of Minnesota, Cassano will interview on Monday, May 19.
Fetter is currently the assistant women's hockey coach at St. Cloud State. He is also a head/assistant coach for Team Canada National Teams. Fetter was the former head women's hockey coach at Wayne State University (Mich.) and earned NCAA Coach of the Year honors. Fetter will interview on Thursday, May 15.
Harrington is an amateur scout with the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League. He was a volunteer assistant coach with the St. Cloud State women's hockey team and the longtime head coach at nearby St. John's University, where he won five MIAC championships. A two-time Olympian, Harrington has coached in Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland. He also has assistant coaching stops with the St. Cloud State men's program and the University of Denver. Harrington will interview on Thursday, May 15.
Potter is currently the head women's hockey coach at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. She is a four-time Olympian for Team USA and has been a European Tour Coach and an assistant girls' varsity and head junior varsity coach at Maple Grove High School, and a head girls' hockey coach at Coon Rapids High School. Potter will interview on Friday, May 16.
Rud is the current assistant coach of the men's hockey team at Colorado College. He was the head coach and general manager of the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League. Prior to that he was an assistant men's hockey coach at St. Cloud State where his most recent recruits were Hobey Baker winner Drew LeBlanc and Hobey Hat Trick finalist Nic Dowd. Rud will interview on Tuesday, May 20.
